Explain the assessment-evaluation cycle.

What will be an ideal response?

The assessment-evaluation cyclic pattern of going from assessment to implementation to evaluation demonstrates a continual circle of development that uses past data to better face future challenges. Clearly articulated goals not only help crystallize the agency’s philosophical orientation on the supervision process but also provide for more measurable constructs that lend themselves to effective evaluation. Clarity in the goals and objectives allows the agency to perform evaluative research to determine if its efforts are actually successful or if they are in need of improvement. Such clarity then facilitates the ability of the agency to come “full circle” as the planning, implementation, evaluation, and refinement phases of agency operations unfold.
