What will be an ideal response?

'Wait time' is an important consideration for teachers when using questioning strategies in classroom group discussions and conversations because the amount of wait time after a question is asked is critical to the type of interaction that occurs and to the content of the interaction. Increasing the wait time from 1 to 3 seconds has shown responses that are more thoughtful and at a higher level of comprehension.
