Describe the hybrid wireless topology.

What will be an ideal response?

The hybrid wireless topology combines the star and mesh topologies. Stations primarily communicate to WAPs, as in the star topology. However, if a station is unable to directly connect to a WAP but can communicate with another station, it creates a temporary mesh. The intermediate station serves as a secondary WAP, resulting in fault tolerance, like with the mesh topology. If the station is able to reconnect to its WAP, the mesh connection is discarded. This model provides much greater mobility for individual stations, as they are able to move between WAPs. This approach will require some form of centralized authentication to provide both the mesh and mobile star connectivity models.
