How could art therapy be integrated into a psychotherapy process

What will be an ideal response?

Art could be integrated into a psychotherapy process by creating projects that reflect the issues and goals the person has determined. Self-esteem issues perhaps might be address by asking the person to complete a self-portrait with limited colors and no identifiable form. Colors can become metaphors for deep emotional states. Portraits can be completed in individual sessions or in groups. Sharing the portraits also enhances social interactions
