From Case 2, describe what penalties might be appropriate for the attorney and the paralegal.
What will be an ideal response?
From case 2, some penalties that may be appropriate for the attorney and paralegal would be a private reprimand, or admonishment, so other lawyers could see what happen with the case and issues that arose from the scheduling error and learn from it. Another Penalty that might be appropriate would be restitution to the lawyers’ client, Amy Fang, as she was paying the lawyer for representation during the case even when she wasn’t getting representation because of the multiple missed court dates and scheduling errors on the lawyer and paralegals part.
