Explain the difference between early intervention and early childhood special education.

What will be an ideal response?

Early intervention refers to the delivery of coordinated and comprehensive services and support to infants and toddlers (birth through age 2) who have been identified with some type of disability, developmental delay, or who have been assessed as in an at-risk family. Early childhood special education, on the other hand, is customized services and support given to children aged 3–5 years of age who have been identified as having some disability or developmental delay.
