You are planning a dinner party for your friends but you notice that the celery you had bought a few days before is wilted.
What has happened to it? How could you remedy the situation so you can still serve it in your veggie tray?
Answer is concentrating on Osmosis, where the diffusion of water through the cell membrane of the celery from an area of higher concentration to and area of lower concentration. If the celery is already wilted, then soak it in cold water for few hours and water accumulated in the cell membrane of the celery will return some of the crispness back. Hope this helps.
