Define voltage rise and voltage drop.
What will be an ideal response?
Energy introduced into a circuit is called a voltage rise. Energy used up in a circuit by the load is called a voltage drop. A voltage drop occurs when there is a current flow in the circuit. The voltage drop in a circuit equals the voltage rise of the circuit, because energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed to another form.
