What are the difference between men and women regarding religion?
What will be an ideal response?
Religion plays a more important role for women than men and women become more religious as they age Women live longer and more years alone with opportunity for introspection about life. ‘Women may be more socialized to affective connections offered by the interactions with members of a faith community. Men are generally less religious. Men may be more socialized toward assertiveness and independence, rejecting a strong authority represented by a higher power. However, this may represent a bias as Orthodox Jews and Muslims actually have more male participation in religious ceremony than woman. Traditionally men had more access to position of power within the church and exclusively held the positions of leadership and the higher power. There is a current movement to more gender-neutral language in prayer and gender inclusiveness.
