Describe the challenges you think we face in extracting usable amounts of

freshwater directly from the atmosphere. What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary. The amount of atmospheric moisture is very small in many areas, and
it is difficult to control where any precipitation produced will fall. The cost of recovering
this water in most areas would exceed the water’s value. Methods might include
harvesting precipitation, increasing precipitation (cloud seeding, etc.), capturing water
vapor through condensation, etc.
