What is master status, and how does it apply to the labeling process?

What will be an ideal response?

Master status is a person’s defining trait or characteristic; auxiliary status refers to traits that are expected to accompany master status. Being a doctor is a good example of master status; this label often defines an individual’s personality and carries with it a number of expectations. The idea is once people are seen one way, it becomes difficult for others to see them any other way.
