In preparing a client for surgery, there are standardized assessments and interventions to be followed. It is the nurse's duty to ensure all documents and procedures have been followed before surgery begins

c. Included in the discussion about the psychosocial preparation should be the client's anxiety and fear as well as listening to the client. Any religious strength or beliefs the client may have can be applied here.
