Age, class, race and ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation all play a role, as do other factors. As an example, children with disabilities are less likely to be enrolled in school. People of different classes have different insurance resources. African American adults have higher morbidity and disability earlier in life as compared to White adults. The global literacy rate is as low as 1% for women with disabilities. LGBTQ people feel marginalized within two communities when they have a disability.
