Are all children negatively affected by marital conflict? What are some of the variables that reduce or exacerbate the effects on children?

What will be an ideal response?

A complete answer would point out that all children are not equally affected. It depends on several variables, including past experience with conflict, gender of the child the nature of the marital conflict (intensity, content, duration, resolution) as well as children’s perceptions of the conflict (how they process it) as well as child resiliency. See Illustration 8.3 for a framework that separates out many of the processes.
