Describe the difference between a RISC and CISC CPU.
What will be an ideal response?
The main difference between RISC and CISC is the number of different instructions the chip can process and the complexity of the instructions. A CISC CPU typically has a larger instruction set than a comparable RISC CPU. A RISC cpu can typically execute one instruction per clock cycle whereas with a CISC CPU, each instruction may take several clock cycles.
