How are valve guides repaired?

What will be an ideal response?

Valve guides can be repaired in several ways:
1. A worn integral guide can be bored out to accept a pressed-fit insert guide.
2. A worn insert guide can be pressed out and replaced with a new one.
3.  Cast iron guides can be repaired using a process called knurling. Knurling makes the inside of the guide smaller. Then it is reamed out to fit the valve stem. Knurling does not usually provide the longevity of other repairs.
4. A thinwall insert can be installed in a valve guide. First, the guide is bored oversize.
The insert is pounded into place and is broached to form it to the guide bore. Finally, it is reamed to provide the correct clearance for the valve stem.
