Ans: Answers to this question will vary but should include elements of the following: Curiosity – the dominant culture raises their hand, expresses themselves well and are curious about how things work; while a non-dominant culture may think questioning is rude, they do not have the foundation to share experiences, and are more curious about people than how things work. This could create an issue for instruction as the teacher may see the non-dominant traits as unaccepting and unwilling to complete work or share thoughts. A teacher and fellow classmates may see the non-dominant student as disrespectful for not following requests and some may see them as trying to spend too much time learning about each other than learning about content.
