List some of the common PM tasks for pneumatic systems.
What will be an ideal response?
Of course, any fluid power requires checks for leaks, damage to hoses/piping,
and the changing of filters, so you can expect to do this on a predetermined basis.
Additionally, many pneumatic systems have lubricators, which add oil into the
compressed air as it passes to lubricate moving parts in the system. Over time,
the system depletes the oil and replacement is required. Because of the noise
created by exiting air, mufflers are often required and you will want to check
these for damage or clogs. Water and dirt fall out of the air in the reservoir or
tank of a pneumatic system so they need periodic cleaning and draining to insure
proper operation and prevent damage to the components in the system.
