Explain the primary goals of the Industrial Workers of the World.

What will be an ideal response?

The IWW was frustrated by both the discrimination against unskilled workers by the AFL and their conservative approach to winning gains for workers. Instead, the IWW believed that the only way to ensure worker prosperity and equality was through a revolution with the elimination of capitalism as its final goal. The IWW wished to form "one big union" that embraced workers of all occupations, industries, ages, races, and gender. It sought wrestle control of economic and political institutions out of the hands of capital owners and into those of the workers. In this sense, the IWW saw the struggle for worker rights as a class struggle, rather than simply a fight for a larger portion of profits.
