Discuss the energy efficiency of workshop equipment.
What will be an ideal response?
Workshop equipment should be sized and powered for the use it will be put to in the home. Very few home users require the speed or power of commercial grade equipment built for continuous heavy use, but many buy such equipment in the belief that it will perform better than units designated for home use. As with other electrical and electronic equipment, bigger is not always better and purchasing the appliances that adequately meet but don’t exceed your real needs will save both on the purchase price and on your electric bill for years to come.
