What are the benefits of regular moderate exercise?

What will be an ideal response?

Exercise offers powerful health benefits and is an important influence on longevity. Regular moderate exercise enhances immunity, lowering the risk of, and speeding recovery to, illnesses. Exercise reduces risks for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and at least 20 other illnesses and reduces overall mortality at all times in the life span. Mental health benefits of regular physical activity include improved mood, energy, and ability to cope, and lower levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. In addition, fitness is linked to cognitive performance throughout adulthood. Young adults who demonstrate high levels of cardiovascular fitness tend to perform better on measures of basic cognitive abilities, such as attention, reaction time, working memory, and processing speed than low-fitness young adults. Remaining active helps young adults maintain motor skill competencies, such as throwing speed and jumping distance, which predict overall fitness, percentage of body fat, and strength.
