What role has industrialization played in making nuclear families more prominent today?

What will be an ideal response?

The nuclear family has become more prominent because it is better suited to an urbanized industrial society. Industrialism calls for geographic mobility so that workers can go where the jobs are, and nuclear families with weaker kinship ties make this mobility easier. Industrial societies also emphasize achievement rather than ascription, and these modified kinship relations make it easier for people to be upwardly mobile.
