What are some of the limits to women accessing adequate and safe health care in the United States from an intersectional lens?

What will be an ideal response?

Although the United States has a variety of technological advancements in medicine and health care, many women still lack access to adequate and safe health care. Women who do not have insurance and do not qualify for Medicaid cannot access many forms of health care. Poor women, immigrant women, and women of color typically lack access to health care. Women of color, transgender women, and queer women may face discrimination in the health-care system. Women who live in rural areas may not be able to find adequate health care within a reasonable distance. The stigmatization of certain diseases and mental health can influence women’s lack of accessing health-care screenings, tests, and checkups.
