Discuss the importance of displaying competence when dealing with patients. Include two examples of how to display competence

What will be an ideal response?

ANSWER: A medical assistant who is able to effectively display competence when working with patients can help decrease the level of anxiety a patient may feel simply by being at the doctor's office. A specific ways to do this is to make always direct and sincere eye contact with patients. Another important way to display competence is always to take the time to find an answer to a patient's question. If you do not know the answer to a patient question, be honest and offer to find the answer. Also, it is important to admit if you have made a mistake. Do not blame someone else or lie about your mistakes.
