There is no test that confirms the presence of Parkinson's disease or Alzheimer's disease. Both are diagnosed by exclusion.Similar to Alzheimer's disease, researchers are searching for biomarkers that may be used to diagnose Parkinson's disease, but the work is still in its early stages. As of now, there is no cure for either disease, only symptom treatments.
