Why do employees have different views of their workplace culture?
What will be an ideal response?
Impressions of workplace culture can differ based on the subcultures to which coworkers belong. Individuals in management will have a different idea of the culture than their subordinates. Some workers may use an us-versus-them mentality to differentiate themselves physically, generationally, or occupationally. Company subcultures also exist based on perceived and real differences in treatment based on demographic characteristics such as race, gender, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
