Ans: Answer would ideally include: All research studies are unique. Because of this, there is no set response for how much literature any given researcher should review. Some studies examine new topics, which means that there may be few relevant types of literature to review. On the other hand, there are numerous topics of study that have been already examined and reported, so a new study that relates to any of these could contain a review of hundreds or thousands of sources. This presents researchers with the challenging task of deciding when to limit the literature review. Thus, the literature review is much less of a standardized product and has much more of a tailored fit to each research study.
