Describe the "big five" personality factors

McCrae and Costa identified five main factor of personality. Openness to Experience is when someone likes to try new things and engage in a variety of activities. Conscientiousness refers to being organized, responsible, careful, and self-disciplined. Individuals high on extraversion enjoy the company of others, are social and are fun to be around. Agreeableness refers to being cooperative and trusting of others. Finally, individuals high on neuroticism worry a lot, are anxious, and high strung.
