Describe three types of homework assignments you might give to a client.
What will be an ideal response?
Homework can include bibliotherapy, which is the assignments of readings related to the client’s goals. It is recommended that the helper be familiar with the reading prior to assigning to the client. The client may receive covert practice through the exposure of the desired behavior in the reading. Using aides includes enlisting others to provide feedback or support for completing assignments. The role is specifically assigned as feedback or support and they attend session to provide observations. Journaling and Record Keeping is a daily writing assignment. They are generally used for either open-ended writing assignments to provide an in-depth examination of the client’s thoughts, feelings and behaviors or to record practice sessions.
