AnswerWhat will be an ideal response?

Answer: Classical theories still in use today that affect the policy making include rationality, modus operandi of crime, punishment acting as a drive to avoid crime, hedonism and the human rights which decide the severity of crime and the punishment to be given. The neoclassical criminology views the criminal as committing crime just for opportunistic rewards based on favoured situation to commit a calculated crime by choice. These are usually not serious crimes hence, the punishment is based on surveillance or remand homes for children. For adults the term of prison can be increased with no parole.
