Describe liquidity. If people want liquidity, what types of investments should they consider?

What will be an ideal response?

Liquidity refers to the speed at which an investment can be turned into cash. Those who desire liquidity will not want to choose an investment with a value that fluctuates very much in the short run. People who want liquidity need to invest in stable investments, those with little price fluctuation. As noted in Chapter 18, marketable securities such as blue-chip stocks and Treasury bills are excellent investments for liquidity and provide a reasonably high rate of return.
