Illustrate what Rogers meant by the term prizing a client as it relates to unconditional positive regard.

What will be an ideal response?

Rogers believed that the therapist “prizes” the whole person of the client. It is the fact that he/she feels and shows an unconditional positive regard toward the experiences of which the client is frightened or ashamed, as well as toward the experiences with which the client is pleased or satisfied, that seems effective in bringing about change.
