What are the components of NAEYC's Vision for Excellence?
What will be an ideal response?
NAEYC's vision for excellence includes that all children need access to a safe, accessible, high-quality early childhood education that includes a developmentally appropriate curriculum, knowledgeable and well-trained program staff and educators, and comprehensive services that support children's health, nutrition, and social well-being in an environment that respects and supports diversity. All early childhood professionals need to be supported as professionals with the career ladder, ongoing professional development opportunities, and compensation that will attract and retain high-quality educators. All families must have access to early care and education programs that are affordable and of high quality and be participants in the education and well-being of their children through family involvement and programs in schools. All communities must be accountable for the quality of early childhood programs provided to all children. Programs need to be backed by local, state, and federal funding needed to deliver high-quality programs and services.
