Explain the difference between filtration and osmosis

What will be an ideal response?

Filtration is the process by which water and solutes are forced through a membrane by fluid (hydrostatic pressure). Hydrostatic pressure is exerted by the blood. By contrast, osmosis is a type of diffusion in which water moves across a membrane through aquaporins. During osmosis, water moves down its concentration gradient to achieve equilibrium.
