Explain how the association between seed and fruit bearing plants and certain animals has benefited the plants
What will be an ideal response?
Many flowering plants have bright colors, strong fragrances and plentiful nectar that attracts pollinators. The pollinators then seek out particular flowers, and in the process assist the plant fertilization process. These plants have an advantage over those that rely on wind to distribute pollen and accomplish pollination.
Additionally, the fruits that these plants produce attract animals with their sweet taste and bright color. The animals eats and digests the fruit. Some fruits may stick to the animal's fur. Both of these help to distribute seeds to new location, aiding in dispersal of the plant.
