Describe the functions of the lymphatic system

What will be an ideal response?

The lymphatic system has several functions. First, the lymphatic system regulates interstitial fluid volume by returning fluids escaped from the cardiovascular system to circulation. Second, dietary fats are absorbed into specialized lymphatic vessels in the small intestine. And last, the lymphatic system plays a role in immune function by filtering pathogens from lymph and the blood. Several types of leukocytes are housed in lymphoid organs, which play a role in their maturation.
