What is the purpose of the adaptive (active) headlight system?
What will be an ideal response?
The adaptive headlight system (AHS) is designed to enhance nighttime safety by turning the headlight beams to follow the direction of the road as the vehicle enters a turn. The AHS uses headlight assemblies that swivel into the direction the vehicle is steering. The AHS control module monitors vehicle speed, steering angle, and yaw. As these sensor inputs indicate the vehicle is entering a turn, electric motors turn the headlights into the direction of the turn.
