What will be an ideal response?
Ans: The levels of severity are mild, moderate, severe, and profound. A student with mild level of severity displays learning difficulties, but is able to work, maintain social relationships and contribute to society. A student with moderate level of severity is usually marked for developmental delays during childhood, has some degree of self-care, has adequate communication skills, but requires varying degrees of support to live and work. A student with a severe level of severity needs continuous support. A student with a profound level of severity has little to no self-care ability or communication and needs continuous supports.
