What is the difference between a full clone and a linked clone?

What will be an ideal response?

A full clone is an exact copy, with the new virtual machine getting a copy of all of the virtual disk files in its own folder. A linked clone will continue to use the original virtual machine's disk files, only storing the differences, similar to snapshots.
