Is there a union wage advantage?

What will be an ideal response?

The research shows that unions have increased the wages of their members relative to the wages of nonunion members (by about 15%). Unions, however, have had little or no effect on the average level of real wages in the economy. The reason for this result is that unions are still a relatively small part of the labor force. Also, the higher pay for union workers may have come at the expense of nonunion workers.
