What lifestyle choice does Gandhi's principle of enoughness address and how does it help the environment?
What will be an ideal response?
Gandhi's principle of enoughness is the same basic concept as voluntary simplicity. This is a lifestyle choice that many are making today as a way to reduce the overconsumption that characterizes affluent people in developed countries. They seek to learn how to live with much less than they are used to, in order to reduce their material possessions, have a smaller ecological footprint on the earth, and thus work less and have more time to spend with loved ones and friends and neighbors. The outcome of this lifestyle choice is less use and waste of valuable natural capital.
