What is attribution theory?

What will be an ideal response?

Attribution theory focuses on how we interpret our success and failure experiences. In other words, why we were successful or why we failed. We can make internal (something within yourself) or external (something outside of yourself) attributions. Attributions can also be changeable (i.e. effort) or unchangeable (i.e. bad luck).
