How does a preexisting injury affect the analysis for a new on-the-job injury?
What will be an ideal response?
Preexisting injuries are generally covered in a workers’ compensation claim, if the current injury was suffered on the job. If the worker begins the new job with a preexisting injury and there is a new incident that re-injures this previous injury, workers’ compensation will provide medical coverage for the injury.
