What is a sampling frame? When is a sampling frame used? Why is it important to have an accurate sampling frame?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: The sampling frame is a list of the entire population of a study. Responses should include the need to ensure all eligible persons are afforded an equal opportunity to be sampled. The accuracy of the sampling frame determines the accuracy of the sample, the inclusion of all participants who are eligible for participation in the study. It also should include that a sample frame helps in deciding the size of the sample and allows for generalizations back to the population in the case of quantitative studies. It allows for drawing a random sample that is truly representative of the population.
