The text highlights some of the stories that the U.S. media did not do a good job of reporting. Which of these do you think is the most important? Why?

What will be an ideal response?

There are several global stories that were underreported by the U.S. media including

an emerging police state, oceans in peril, Fukushima nuclear disaster, the link between

FBI and terrorism, and the Federal Reserve audit. Answers here would do well to

select one of these stories, explain the basics of it and connect to one of the global

theories explained earlier in the book to articulate why this story is so important. For

example, a student might explain that the emerging police state is of utmost

importance, explain the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act and link this to the

Iron Triangle and military-industrial complex.
