Which theoretical model of parenting education do you most identify with and what is the main focus of that model? Give an example of something you might teach in a parenting program grounded in that model.

What will be an ideal response?

The possible models include Attachment, Behavior modification, Democratic, Social consciousness, Counseling/communication, and Developmental. Example: I most identify with behavior modification models, which focuses primarily on teaching parents how to effectively model and reinforce positive child behavior while establishing effective discipline practices. One thing I would teach parents in a program using this model would be how to decide when to use positive or negative consequences for misbehavior.
