Discuss the concept of life preparedness.

What will be an ideal response?

As related to career development, Robert Lent has defined the term life preparedness as "a healthy state of vigilance regarding threats to one's career well-being as well as alertness to resources and opportunities on which one can capitalize." The theory behind life preparedness is to use proactive strategies to manage barriers, build supports, and otherwise advocate for one's own career-life future. Life preparedness is broader than the traditional concept of career preparation. Under the concept of life preparedness, a person considers the things that can go wrong as well as those that can go right.
