Many proteins can be made from a single mRNA. Why then do cells transcribe many copies of the same mRNA?

What will be an ideal response?

RNA is not a stable molecule and mRNA may only last a few minutes in the cytoplasm before enzymes disassemble it. Therefore, by transcribing many copies of mRNA, translation can occur and protein synthesis levels can be continually adjusted.
