How would you describe the relationship between patrol officers and police dispatchers?

What will be an ideal response?

Many police officers consider dispatchers to be their “unsung heroes.” Patrol officers rely heavily on the knowledge, insight, and assistance of dispatchers, as their lives and safety may depend upon the dispatcher’s ability to determine the type, seriousness, and location of calls for service. Their role is so critical that some agencies require dispatchers to have worked as patrol officers for a substantial amount of time in order to fully understand what the officers are facing and feeling while on patrol.
