Her nephrologists told her that her GFR—glomerular filtration rate—is 25, putting her at stage 1 for the CKD. He advised her to control her blood sugar as much as possible and to take her blood pressure every day and
include the results in her diabetes log. Keeping her blood pressure under control is exceedingly important.
